Using Favorites

Upon approaching 50-100 meters from the restaurant, our system will prompt you to pay and choose your preferred collection method.
If the app doesn’t recognize your arrival, click the “I’m here” button.
Possible reasons for non-recognition include poor internet connection or being in a location with GPS interference, like inside a shopping center.
Improve connectivity by using free McDonald’s Wi-Fi in areas with weak mobile signals.
If issues persist, contact a staff member, providing the 4-digit check-in code from the error page for assistance in retrieving your order.

For those who use the McDonald’s app and order before arriving, we ensure the order is prepared just in time to maintain its freshness.
Preparing the order in advance would risk it becoming cold by the time of pick-up.
Order Confirmation and Numbers to Look Out for
After payment, our app will display your order number for reference on the screen.
For Table Service, we confirm the table number you specified.
An itemized receipt, including the order number, is emailed to your registered email address.
Having this order number signifies completion of payment, and only then do we have your order ready for preparation.
2. Payment
Adding and Removing Payment Cards
To facilitate your orders, kindly add a card during your first purchase.
Provide the long card number, name as seen on the front, expiry date, and the 3-digit CVV/CVC from the back.
The card details are securely stored with our banking partner, not McDonald’s.
Add a second card via the More menu > Profile > Payment methods.
Remove a registered card by selecting ‘Edit’ at the top of the page and then ‘Delete’ on the specific card. Manage Apple Pay and Google Pay cards in your phone settings.
No charges are made on the card until you reach the restaurant and specify your preferred collection method.
Does McDonald’s accept Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal?
McDonald’s accepts payments through Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
When Will I be Charged for My Order?
Payment is only processed when you are at the restaurant and have chosen your collection method, not in advance.
After selecting your preferred collection method, we proceed to charge you using the chosen payment method.
Once payment is completed, we begin preparing your meal.
The McDonald’s app will display your collection number or table number if you have opted for Table Service after the payment process is finalized.
Have I paid Twice?
If, by any chance, you are charged twice, our customer service team is ready to assist. Reach out through the customer service link in the More menu of the McDonald’s app.
Payment is processed only when you are at the restaurant and have selected your collection method, not in advance.
After selecting your collection method, we charge you using your chosen payment method and begin preparing your meal.
Review and confirm recent orders, including those paid for, in your ‘Resents & Favorites’ list. Access this in the ‘More’ tab on the McDonald’s app.
For efficient investigation and any necessary refund, please provide the following information when prompted, available on the receipt emailed to your registered address:
The restaurant name
The order number
Date and time the orders were charged
Receipts and VAT Numbers
A detailed receipt, including all necessary information for VAT purposes, is sent to your email.
The emailed receipt itemizes your order, providing the date and time of payment, along with the collection number assigned at that moment.
In case you haven’t received a receipt, please check your Junk Email or Spam mail folder.
View a list of your past orders by tapping ‘Recent’ at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
Regrettably, we cannot re-issue receipts.
3. Drive Thru
UK law: Using a Phone Whilst Driving
Adherence to all UK driving laws is imperative when using the McDonald’s app.
Due to the prohibition of using phones while driving, consider either building your order before departing or having a passenger place the order for collection upon arrival.
If you are alone in your vehicle, ensure a safe stop by pulling over to a suitable location, switching off your engine, and then using the McDonald’s app.
During the Drive Thru collection, there is no need to touch your phone. Simply inform us at the order post that you have a McDonald’s app order to collect, provide your name, and we will handle the rest.
Collecting from Drive Thru
Upon reaching the order point, inform us that you have an app order and provide your name along with the order number.
We will retrieve your order, verify the details, and complete the payment process.
You don’t need to touch your phone during this process.
4. Managing Your Account and Password
Passwords
If you forget your password, don’t worry. Open the app, tap the ‘More’ button at the bottom right, select ‘Log In’, and then tap ‘Forgot Password?’
Enter your registered email address, and a temporary password will be sent to your email. Use this temporary password on the sign-in page, and you’ll have the option to reset your password.
You can change your password anytime. It’s recommended to do this every few months. To change your password, navigate to More menu > Profile > Personal Settings > Change Password.
Note that currently, pasting passwords into password fields is not supported. Therefore, you need to manually type your password into the field.
Postcode
We request your postcode to provide you with personalized offers based on your location.
To update your postcode, go to More menu > Profile > Personal Settings > Change Postcode.
Social Login
Easily log in to the McDonald’s app using your Google, Facebook, or Apple ID. Social registration and login offer the quickest access to the app.
If you encounter a “username already in use” error when registering with your social identity, it indicates an existing account with the associated email address.
To proceed with social login, delete the original account. Log in with your email and password, then go to More menu > Profile > Delete account.
For password changes related to your social identity, manage this within the respective Facebook, Apple, or Google apps.
Deleting Your Account
To delete your account, navigate to More menu > Profile > Delete account.
Deleting your account will erase all your details from our systems, adhering to the terms and conditions agreed upon during your initial sign-up.
It’s important to note that deleting your account will also result in the loss of any loyalty rewards and stamps, which are not recoverable once the account is deleted.

If McDelivery is not accessible at your address, you will receive a notification. At this point, you can choose to continue your order for collection.

McDonald’s has teamed up with Uber Eats to bring food directly to you. Uber Eats is the delivery service for your address.
What Can I Order for Delivery?
Menu items may differ based on location. To check the offerings at your McDelivery location, choose McDelivery in the McDonald’s App, input your address, and explore items by selecting ‘Order’ on the bottom menu bar.
Can I Use My Deal and Offer When Ordering for Delivery?
Yes, the majority of our offers are now accessible for McDelivery. To include an order for McDelivery, simply select the offer and click on ‘Add to McDelivery Order.’
Can I Cancel My McDelivery Order or Change the Items I’ve Ordered?
Regrettably, once your order is placed, it is immediately forwarded to the restaurant, and therefore, we are unable to make changes or cancel the order.

While waiting, monitor the status of your order in the McDonald’s App. Contact your courier through the app using the “Contacting your Courier” feature.

What is Click & Serve?
Click & Serve allows you to conveniently place an order via the McDonald’s app on your mobile device for collection in your car. This process eliminates the need for the Drive Thru or entering the restaurant.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, bypass the queues and follow the signs leading to the Click & Serve collection bays.
Park in the designated bay, enter the bay number in the app, and your food will be promptly delivered straight to your car.
What’s the Benefit of Me Using Click & Serve?
With Click & Serve, you can place your McDonald’s order well in advance, ensuring a seamless experience upon arrival. No more waiting in queues. Sounds good, right?
